Slipped Disk Sym Can A Dog Get A Slipped Disk In His Back Quarters?

Can a dog get a slipped disk in his back quarters? - slipped disk sym

Chihuahua 11 years, maybe close doors, put only 3 days later, veterinary steroid shot to relieve pain and inflammation, the dog is not in the back left foot, so it seems that bulge out of the right hip, left leg remains in the body. Vet did not mean it is possible torn / stretched ligaments and muscles. a herniated disc, fracture or ligament might have, and said the vet. NO x-ray.

A herniated disk is painful, but usually does not cause the dog back leg and not use the other. It's more like a stretched or a cruciate ligament in his left knee. These ligaments (anterior and skull) to preserve and stabilize the knee. If any of these smart, the dog will avoid the affected limb with his body to put that weight on him. Because the knee is no longer able to stabilize the leg, to feel uncomfortable when you try to go. It is not too painful for the dog - you can use the leg and knee, without a painful reaction to manipulate in dogs. (when a herniated disk causes a painful reaction to the press his hand on the affected hard drive)
To rule out a herniated disc, a radiograph should be made.
A broken cross is diagnosed by the manipulation of the knees when you see "a drawer." A fancy term to say that the knee is now in a position in a way that it should develop. This condition can be corrected with surgery ($$$) if needed.

Without X-rays taken, there is not know. Yes, you may encounter the herniated disk, usually in support of long runs, but it can occur in any dog. If she slips a disc, the cortisone will not help long-term and a radiograph is needed. If it's just an inflammation, your dog feels better soon.

Is it because they have thorns like us. Check with an x-ray? Perhaps it would be final and then we could go from there.
